The municipal council of Espédaillac, a village in Lot with 260 inhabitants, voted on October 9 in favor of the installation of a 26-hectare photovoltaic park. It will be built on land belonging to a local breeder.
Local elected officials from Espédaillac (Lot) were invited to give their opinion regarding the creation of a 26-hectare photovoltaic park in the town. They issued a favorable opinion on this project of 19,000 panels during the municipal council meeting on October 9, indicates La Dépêche du Midi Thursday October 17.
Public inquiry
This park is to be created on land belonging to a breeder from Espédaillac. To do this, operating premises will have to be built and 14 hectares of woods will be cleared. Residents will be interviewed as part of a future public inquiry.
The town hall will receive 10,000 euros per year for a decade under the flat-rate tax on network companies (Ifer).
