still on orange alert for floods: around twenty roads and bridges blocked, update on the situation

Even if the weather is calmer, the rivers are still under surveillance in the this Friday, October 18.

This Friday, October 18, the Gard is kept on orange alert for floods after an episode in the Cévennes which began Wednesday at midnight. The situation is still complicated in the Rhône Gard and particularly on the banks of the Rhône.

Around twenty roads and submersible bridges are closed in the department according to the update carried out this Friday morning by the Gard departmental council.

Roads blocked

Here is the list of roads concerned: RD 765 (between Codolet and the RN 580), RD 906 in Chamborigaud (bridge closed), RD 986L (between Vallabrègues dam and Montfrin), RD 138 (Vénéjean), RD 138 A (between Codolet and the Caderousse dam), the RD 994 (old bridge at Pont Saint-Esprit), RD 213 at Fressac, RD 278 (low point at the Rastel bridge).

Submersible bridges closed

The list is particularly important for closures:

Dions bridge (RD 22), Cassagnoles bridge in Vézénobres (RD 106), Gagnière bridge between Bessèges and Foussignargues (RD 51), the Carmignan footbridge in Bagnols-sur-Cèze (our video), the Drouilhèdes bridge in Bessèges (RD 386), the Cassagnoles bridge in Vézénobres (RD 106), bridge over the Rieutord at the hamlet of Villaret (RD 20C), that of Clapouzes in Chambon (RD 243A), Grand turning at Peyremale (RD 386), passage ford on the Vis at Vissec (RD 814), the bridge over the Vis between Alzon and Vissec (RD 814), Paussan at Mialet (RD 50B), that of Corbès (eastern access) on the RD 284 and the submersible bridge at Anduze (RD 129A), the Massies bridge in Thoiras (RD 284A), the submersible bridges of the RD187 in Rochegude and Rivières, low overflow point of the Cèze between Rivières and Rochegude (RD 16).
