-FIFA World Ranking/October: Senegal (20th) and Morocco (13th) move up one place, the top 6 remains unchanged

XALIMANEWS-With its two victories during the 3rd and 4th days of qualifying for CAN 2025 during its double confrontation against Malawi (4-0, 0-1), Senegal climbs the FIFA world ranking for the month of October.

The ranking was updated on the occasion of this international break. The top 6 remains unchanged (Argentina, , Spain, England, Brazil and Belgium), while Portugal and Italy each move up one place. On the other hand, the Netherlands and Colombia fell one position.

After occupying 21st place in the previous ranking, the Lions of Teranga, now led by Pape Thiaw on an interim basis after the departure of Aliou Cissé, jumped one place and climbed to 20th position. They maintain their status as the second African team, behind Morocco, which maintains its 18th place.

Morocco, always at the center of attention, moved up one place thanks to its two strong performances against the Central African Republic.

The biggest progression in the African top 10 goes to Algeria, which climbs four places.

On the other hand, Tunisia suffered a significant drop of 11 places after its two disappointing results against the Comoros.
