“Operation 101 Dalmatians”, it is by this code name referring to the famous Disney film that the gendarmes spoke of the rescue of 62 dogs, mainly dalmatians, in a shelter located in the town of Mirabeau in Vaucluse.
As our colleagues at France Bluethere were no less than 12 puppies, some of which were barely a few weeks old, and pregnant females among the dogs saved by the Vaucluse SPA at the beginning of October.
The SPA needs help
At a time of year when shelters are generally full to bursting, the Vaucluse SPA had to push the walls to accommodate these 62 dogs and five Sphinx breed cats. But space is not the only problem because we also have to find money to be able to take care of all these animals, care for them and feed them. Especially since they cannot be adopted before the end of the legal procedure.
It is to help the SPA that several animal defense associations have decided to launch an appeal for donations. Thus, donations of equipment (kibbles, blankets, leashes, collars, etc.) have already been made this week and others are to come. Pots were also opened to raise money.
