Senator Vincent Louault called to order by the Attorney General of Orléans

“The Republic that attacked him”

On October 15, 2024, the parliamentarian strongly criticized a control operation carried out on instructions from the public prosecutor’s office at Verte Vallée, a farm in Rilly-sur-. Vincent Louault then denounced: “This evening, you can congratulate yourself on having taken on the skin of a Mayor who no longer recognizes himself in the Republic which attacked him this morning”.

“Worrying violation of the constitutional principle”

“Beyond the outrageous nature of the terms used by the author of the publication with regard to the Public Prosecutor of Tours, such a message emanating from a parliamentarian constitutes a worrying breach of the constitutional principle of separation powers »worries the attorney general.

“The control action, carried out in Rilly-sur-Vienne on a large agricultural holding on October 14, is precisely in line with the priorities of the criminal policy defined at the national level and relayed with determination by the public prosecutor of Orléans given in particular the exceptional natural heritage of Indre-et-Loire and the economic issues concerned”adds the attorney general.

As for the police forces mobilized to carry out the checks, the prosecution recalls that “ the importance of the operation (20 employees and 150 seasonal workers) and the scope of controls required the mobilization of numerous observation services”. Checks which have resulted, for the moment, in the identification of 18 offenses.
