Event: Shows and conferences at the “Parents, Babies” festival

From October 19 to November 2, 2024the Libraries of Métropole are transformed into a festive and benevolent event to welcome, for the first time, the “Parents, Babies” festival. This moment, initiated by the departmental libraryis intended to be a time of sharing around childhood, bringing together parents, early childhood professionals and various stakeholders.

For nearly two weeks, around ten libraries in the network will offer toddlers and their families a rich and varied program. Shows, readings and workshops will be on offer, with particular attention paid to the development and awakening of young children. This event is aimed not only at families but also at professionals, who will be able to discuss with experts and participate in specialized meetings.

Conferences with a renowned child psychiatrist

One of the highlights of this event will be the double intervention of the child psychiatrist Daniel Marcellithe Tuesday October 22 to the Louis Aragon Library. Known for his work on parenting and child development, he will host two conferences on current issues.

HAS 14h30Daniel Marcelli will address the crucial issue of “Too many choices for the child: what are the consequences?”a conference specially aimed at professionals in early childhood, the medico-social sector, and other actors working with children. Upon registration, this exchange will delve deeper into how the abundance of choice affects toddlers.

HAS 18ha second conference open to all will explore the question “Let the child choose: to what extent and how?”.
