Braderies

– The association Les Amis des Chats de Châteauponsac is organizing its big bric-a-brac, in the village hall, Saturday October 19 and Sunday October 20, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors will be able to find trinkets, jewelry, books, household linens, clothing, dishes, toys, garden items, etc. FREE ENTRANCE.

The La Soupape Sauvage association is organizing a weekend of mycological discoveries (mushrooms) on October 19 and 20, with three picking walks. Departure from the Rilhac-Lastours multipurpose room, Saturday October 19, at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and Sunday October 20 at 10 a.m. Mushroom exhibition with a determination key on the ground Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. A conference on accidental mushroom poisoning in will take place on Saturday October 19 at 6 p.m. The weekend is free and open to all.

Dancing tea

The Soleil d’Automne de Marval seniors’ association is organizing a tea dance on Sunday, October 20 at the Marval village hall. From 2:30 p.m., the Patrick Roque orchestra will host this Sunday afternoon and traditional kir and donuts will be offered. The refreshment bar will quench the thirst of the dancers and its audience. Heart

The Linards municipal animation committee is organizing a lottery on Saturday October 19, at the Antoine-Blondin room in Linards; games start at 7:30 p.m.
On the program: six games, including a Belgian game and a special children’s game so everyone can try their luck. 1 box, €3; 4 boxes, €10 and 10 boxes, €20. Catering and refreshment bar.

Chestnuts

Friday October 18, from 5 p.m., the Calandreta Lemosina school, 2, rue des Landes in -Bellegarde, is organizing the Festa de las Chastanhas (chestnut festival). The menu is copious with a farmers’ market, local artisans (wooden objects), the participation of the Occitan bookstore, animal accessories, and much more. Refreshment bar with autumn flavors like soups, chestnut tarts, apple puddings, apple tarts. The children of the Occitan bilingual school will offer a show to visitors. FREE ENTRANCE. All proceeds will be donated to the school.

Literature

On Friday, October 18, from 5 p.m., Aux Jolies vins, 13, place du Commerce in Panazol, the Panazolais author Jean-Pierre Chaminade will present his new novel, What if one day the ocean burns? Retired from National Education, first a primary school teacher then a psychologist in charge of the schooling of migrant children, he is particularly interested in the slow deterioration of the biological and societal balances of our planet.

Health

On the occasion of Pink October, the month of national mobilization against breast cancer, the leisure club of the municipality of Val d’Oire-et-Gartempe is offering an afternoon of activities on Saturday October 19 at the Jacques room -Brel, for the benefit of the League against cancer. On the program: two hikes of 5 and 10 km, supervised by the Bussière à pied association (registration at 1:30 p.m. for a departure at 2 p.m.; minimum participation €3 with refreshment on the 10 km and at the finish). Environment

France Nature Environnement Limousin is organizing a volunteer worksite on Saturday October 19 from 9 a.m. for the maintenance of the surroundings of the La Loutre Nature Center in Verneuil-sur-Vienne: maintenance of the hedges, the orchard, the surroundings of the building. The Furiosa Company adds interactive workshops where everyone can learn the art of sound effects and create their own sound story: Monday October 21 at the Rochechouart media library; Tuesday October 22 in the Laurentine-Teillet room in Saint-Junien and Saturday October 26 at the Oradour-sur-Glane media library; from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., readings and recording of the story, and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., sound effects and sound design.
