The draw for the 6th round of the Coupe de was held on Wednesday at the Ouest-France headquarters in Chantepie. It was produced by Pierre Pouliquen, vice-president of the Region and Guillaume Ballard, editor-in-chief of the Sports Service.

The fifteen matches will take place on the weekend of October 26-27, ten Morbihan clubs have qualified for this event. Note some posters such as FC Bélugas d’Etel (R3) which will welcome the neighbor of US Montagnarde (R1). For Erwann Rieux, it will be the opportunity to face his long-time club with whom he has had great success in this competition. “There are former Montagnards among the Belugas, it will not be an easy match. It should be tense, it’s up to us to do things seriously, because we will be expected,” they whispered in the blacksmith ranks.

For the other Morbihan Petit Poucet, it will not be easy since the Enfants de Guer (R3) will travel to the Stade Paimpolais (R2). “It’s a difficult draw, we would have preferred to receive,” recognized Jean-Baptiste Meur, the Guérois president. “We will do everything to get to the 7th round, the club has never achieved it. Paimpol is a level above, we’ll see. »

A Vannetaise derby

A derby to come. Plescop (R2) will welcome its neighbor from (N3). “It’s a very nice draw,” declared the Plescopais, Régis Oliviéro. “It’s a derby that will attract a lot of people and a great party in perspective. We will give everything to seek a result, and then it will be a special moment for Franck Dufrennes and Stéphane Madec,” two former Voc.

Baud (R2) came across the leader of this 6th round, Concarneau (N1). “It will be a great experience to live, we are happy to receive. The coach wanted the Thoniers”, his wish is granted. “It’s still a match, in 90 minutes, anything can happen in the Coupe de France. It’s a beautiful poster at the Scaouët stadium, we will have our supporters behind us,” indicated the Baldivian leaders during the draw.

On the Concarne side, we added: “We started on a new project this season and the Cup is part of it. We will be keen to qualify in Morbihan. »

Other reactions

Jacques Pichard (Locminé coach): “Well, it’s a long trip, but we’re used to it with N2 matches. I don’t know this Saint-Renan team but we met Pluvigner in the previous round who is playing at the same level. So you will have to be serious but the motivation will be there because the group has decided to go as far as possible in the cup. We know that it won’t be easy, we will prepare by facing La Roche-sur-Yon on Saturday. »

Sylvain Didot (coach of Vannes OC): “A new derby, with the advantage of a short trip. But a derby nonetheless against a team that has quality. We will have to apply ourselves and not look down on them, as we did against Saint-Avé last weekend because all it takes is one incident such as a red card or injury for example. And then I know in advance that Plescop is going to give everything so let’s follow the line that has been ours for several weeks. »

Anthony Poyac (president of Ruffiac): “Rather disappointed with the draw. We wanted a big home team to celebrate with our supporters and once again we will be playing away. Auray is a great team that has practiced in R1 and R2 while we have only just reached this last level. I add that a synthetic will not be an advantage for us. But hey, in a match, who knows? “.
