Acquisition of agricultural land: the Agglo de Tulle forms a bloc behind Beaumont

The project to purchase 25 ha of land located in Beaumont, which is being fought over by the municipality and the Foncière agricole, was discussed at length by community elected officials on Monday. The Agglomerate is united.

One for all, all for one. Sophie Roy can be happy. The mayor of Beaumont, a town of around a hundred inhabitants located not far from Chamboulive, received the support of the intercommunity to which she belongs. Monday evening, elected officials voted for a motion of support for the project carried by this municipality and for which it is in competition with Tony Cornelissen’s Rural Property Investment Company.

As a reminder, during the agglomeration council meeting on July 8 (**), Sophie Roy presented her plan to purchase from Safer a property called Antignac, of 25 ha, in order to “make land available to local farmers, to preserve the environment in a sensitive area, to carry out an eco-tourism project, and to renovate an old house to turn it into a lodge. “Recently, the file even solidified with two beekeepers looking for land for their hives,” said the mayor.
