Seine-et-: Carrefour wants to close the former Cora headquarters in Croissy-Beaubourg by 2025

The distribution giant Carrefour, which bought its competitors Cora and Match at the beginning of July, plans to close the Cora headquarters in Croissy-Beaubourg (Seine-et-) and eliminate 340 positions by the end of 2025, according to a press release released Tuesday.

A reorganization project, presented Tuesday to the social partners and “open to consultation with the CSEs”, “provides for the elimination of 340 positions on the Croissy-Beaubourg site, the closure of which will take place by the end of 2025, and the creation of 120 positions in , the Ile-de- headquarters of the number 2 French food retailer.

Reclassifications in Île-de-France

Carrefour ensures that “each employee of the Croissy-Beaubourg site will be offered at least one reclassification offer on one of the group’s sites in Île-de-France, either at headquarters (in Massy in particular) or in stores”.

Former Cora employees who do not accept this reclassification will be entitled to “support measures for external mobility which will have been negotiated with the social partners as part of an Employment Protection Plan (PSE) “, says the distribution giant again.

The press release further specifies that “the staff of the headquarters functions of Val d’, , , are not affected by this regrouping project”, which also concerns the Cora purchasing center, Provera.

Under the umbrella of Carrefour

In July, Carrefour bought the French activities of the Belgian group Louis Delhaize, which employed 22,000 people, notably in 60 Cora stores, currently being transitioned to the Carrefour brand, and 115 Match stores which will retain their brand.

This acquisition, “the most important for Carrefour since the acquisition of Promodès” in 1999, said CEO Alexandre Bompard, should allow Carrefour to consolidate its second place in France behind E.Leclerc and ahead of Les Mousquetaires/Intermarché.

Carrefour announced in mid-June that it had obtained a waiver from the Competition Authority to carry out this acquisition without waiting for its decision on the operation, expected “by the end of the first quarter of 2025” according to Carrefour.
