On the occasion of the presentation of the “Senegal 2050” framework at the Abdou Diouf Conference Center in Diamniadio, the President of the Republic detailed this strategic document, which charts the path for the development of Senegal for the decades to come. He placed particular emphasis on youth, institutional reforms, the fight against corruption and pan-African cooperation.
In his speech, the Head of State insisted on the essential role of youth in this transformation. He affirmed that the Senegal of 2050 will be carried by competent and dynamic youth, ready to face the challenges of its time.
The President also underlined the importance of training and involving young people in the national development process, specifying that their engagement is crucial for the modernization of the country.
President Bassirou Diomaye Faye also spoke of the need to rethink Senegalese institutions to better meet the expectations of the population.
“The overhaul of our institutions is essential to fully satisfy the aspirations of our people,” he said, emphasizing the improvement of governance and the efficiency of public services.
Finally, the Head of State reiterated Senegal’s commitment to strengthening its ties with African countries, declaring that “our pan-African commitment will be reaffirmed, with a strengthening of cooperation with sister nations.”
This vision places Senegal at the center of regional and continental dynamics, with the objective of building a more integrated and united Africa.
