The thieves gave the word this Sunday, October 13, 2024. In just 5 hours, the Seine-et-Marne police were mobilized to two theft attempts. The first in Chalifert around 9:10 p.m. where two individuals attempted to steal construction equipmentthe second in Compans at 2:20 a.m. There, four individuals, including a minor, were caught stealing equipment from a parked van.

All taken into custody

This Sunday evening, around 9 p.m., the police were alerted by a call that a black vehicle was parked in a construction site closed to the public at rue de la Persévérance in Chalifert. Quickly on site, the police officers from the Lagny-sur-Marne police station noticed two individuals charging dozens of sealing rollers in their trunk.

The two men, aged 26 and 29, were immediately arrested and placed in police custody. They will be judged for attempted meeting robbery.

A few hours later, it was the Villeparisis police officers who witnessed another theft attempt. It is 2:20 a.m. in Compans when the latter, on patrol, are attracted by individuals who appear to be interested in a parked vehicle. The police patrol goes into surveillance mode when the four prowlers force a door of a van and begin to steal portable tools.

They were immediately arrested and also placed in police custody. Aged between 17 and 21they all declared themselves homeless according to a police source.
