TPG expands its team of drivers in Geneva

More than 200 new drivers will join TPG by the end of the year.

Geneva Public Transport is recruiting and seems to be attracting people. 209 new drivers will arrive on the network at the end of the year, before 300 additional recruitments in 2025.

4,000 applications in 2024

The TPG have just completed a recruitment campaign which met with significant success. 4,000 applications have been registered since the start of the year. These 209 commitments aim to ensure significant growth in public transport in the Geneva metropolitan area in the coming years. Regarding the profiles of the people selected, they are between 22 and 60 years old, the majority of whom are between 31 and 35 years old. All people reside on Swiss territory and nearly 60% are aiming for professional retraining. The only downside: the TPG regrets the too low proportion of female candidates.

300 new recruitments next year

New job openings are planned for 2025 with 300 new recruitments at TPG. “The continuation of the recruitment efforts carried out by the TPG aims to strengthen the teams in place to structurally improve working conditions and ensure the development of their network” explain Transports publics Genevois. A special effort will also be made to attract female candidates.
