Locally heavy stormy showers (20-60), accompanied by hail and gusts of wind (70/85 km/h), are expected, from Saturday to Monday, in several provinces of the Kingdom, announced the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).
Stormy showers (20-40 mm) affect the provinces of Essaouira, Safi, Sidi Bennour and El Jadida on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m., the DGM said on Saturday in an “orange” alert bulletin.
The same phenomenon is expected, Sunday from 12 a.m. to 10 a.m., in the provinces of Tangier-Assilah, Tétouan, Mdiq-Fnideq, Fahs-Anjra, Larache, Kénitra, Chefchaouen and Ouezzane, added the DGM.
These showers (30-50 mm) will affect, Sunday from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m., the provinces of El Kelaa des Sraghna, Al Haouz, Chichaoua, Marrakech, Rehamna, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Taroudant, Tata and Assa-Zag, continues the same source.
The provinces of Tinghir, Midelt, Errachidia, Zagora, Ouarzazate, Tata and Taroudant will experience stormy showers (40-60mm) on Monday from 12 a.m. to 11 p.m. Furthermore, locally strong wind gusts of (70/85Km/h) are expected, Monday from 12 a.m. to 9 p.m., in the provinces of Figuig, Jerada, Guercif, Taourirt, Boulmane and Midelt, the DGM reports in a bulletin. “orange” alert level.
