“It’s frustrating” for Dan Ndoye – rts.ch

The post-Euro is tough for the Swiss team. After being beaten 2-0 by Denmark, 4-1 by Spain, the Swiss experienced a third defeat in a row in the Nations League by losing 2-0 in Serbia. At the microphone of RTSsport, Dan Ndoye, Michel Aebischer and Gregor Kobel shared their impressions.

Ndoye, who was one of the best Swiss on the field, tried a lot, systematically forcing “to hit, exploit your speed.”

But by stumbling upon the Serbs and failing to open the score, the Swiss ended up being surprised, a turn of events which frustrated the Vaudois. “CIt’s frustrating. We got off to a good start before letting them have chances from set plays. It is complicated to win matches if success eludes us in front of the goal”analyzes the Bologna winger.

Same story with his club teammate Michel Aebischer, who regrets the appearance of the last matches where the Swiss “opportunities, miss a penalty“, as if everything was “against them“. But whatever this new defeat, the Fribourgeois assured that the team will stand together against this negative spiral: “We have to be strong, we have to be together and stay positive despite these three defeats“.

“Get up as quickly as possible”

For Gregor Kobel, still looking for a first clean sheet as a starter in the Swiss cage, there is no need to worry and recover as quickly as possible from this trip to Serbian lands.

“We must raise our heads as quickly as possible“and that certainly after this new defeat, “the frustration is enormous“, especially since Murat Yakin’s players “had the chance to do much better.”but the next match “against Denmark comes in three days and it’s somehow beneficial“, to recover as quickly as possible from this poor performance.
