In a recent action plan, the Île-de-France Region announced an investment of1.8 billion euros in education. This is twice as much as in 2015 and this makes this budget the most important of the community chaired by Valérie Pécresse behind transport.

Among the many high schools which will benefit from this windfall, that of Corbusier, in Poissy (Yvelines). An envelope of 72.5 million euros (including 17 million euros from the Yvelines departmental council) was granted to it for a “ overall renovation » of the building inaugurated in 1963, the courtyard and the square.

A major reorganization

This work will also make it possible to improve the daily lives of 700 middle school students and 1,715 high school studentsin terms of “reception and study conditions for students”, underlines the Region.

“They will also ensure good flow management with in particular a separation of middle school and high school, both in their access as in common areas and half-board. »

Necessary and urgent work according to Ameller Dubois, the project architect, who plans “an overall project of 36 months» over an area of ​​12,000 m².

The start of work announced for 2026

The City of Poissy is delighted that this project, which has been in the works for years, is finally seeing the light of day. “The project is fantastic, very qualitativewith a thorough reflection on the reorganization of the school campus. Like all those involved in the matter, we are very favorable to this renovation,” she confides.

The renovation plan will be managed by the Region “in coordination with the entire educational community, the rectorate and the municipality”. The first studies are underway to estimate priorities. The Region is planning a startwork for 2026.
