Victim of the rapist who rages in the de la Cambre, Juliette testifies: “I screamed but no one could hear me”

This Saturday, our colleagues from RTL were able to collect the testimony of one of them. Juliette is 22 years old, a student and lives in Ixelles. On September 27, she went out to the “Winter Games” nightclub with friends. When she wanted to order her taxi home, it never arrived. The young woman then decided to return home on foot through the woods. This is where the horror happened.

Arriving in a place in the woods where there was absolutely no one in sight, she came across her tormentor. “I heard the footsteps getting closer, it was so fast…”. She continues: “This man took me from behind and really told me that in any case I couldn’t do anything because there was no one, he was right. I screamed but no one could help me. hear.”

A serial rapist targeting young women leaving the Winter Games is rampant in the de la Cambre: “Never cross the woods alone”

Threatened with a knife, Juliette says she then gave in to her attacker. “It’s the survival instinct. I have to do as he wants.”explains the young woman. Not wanting to go into too much detail “ten minutes” in horror, she explains having had a “dissociation” with his body: “We detach ourselves from everything”she confides.

“Once he finished, he said to me, ‘You can leave.’”recounts Juliette, who was then immediately joined by her friends, taken into care by the police and taken to the hospital for various examinations. Psychological monitoring has also been put in place and is, according to the young woman, very necessary. Today, she finds it important to tell what happened to her in order to warn others: “If I had seen or heard that this was happening to someone I know, I wouldn’t have taken this wood.”Juliette finishes.
