The selection criteria to participate in this election which leads to the final title of Miss France have been considerably relaxed in 2022. Although you obviously have to be of French nationality, there is, for example, no longer an age limit. However, you must be 18 years old at 1is January 2024.
The physical criteria have also been reduced, even if you must still be at least 1.70 meters tall, without a heel. But tattoos are no longer prohibited, as has long been the case, unless they have criminally reprehensible representations, obviously. Having had cosmetic surgery (unless it is reconstructive surgery) is, however, always prohibited. Transgender women can now enter the competition. Candidates can now also be mothers, which was not the case before.
On the other hand, candidates must still not have taken nude photos, nor have been convicted, and they are prohibited from engaging in political propaganda. For this regional election, they must finally be domiciled in Lorraine.
