Seine-et- ► Teleconsultation booths: the service is stopped

The teleconsultation booths in Seine-et-, which had come to fill in their own way the lack of doctors in the department in medical desertification, ceased their activity on Friday September 27. The interruption of the service follows the liquidation of the HD4 company.

The Department of Seine-et-Marne informed “with regret” of the sudden interruption of medical teleconsultation services offered by the cabins managed by the company HD4. The service provider responsible for operating the ten teleconsultation booths in the region has been placed in compulsory liquidation.

Since Friday September 27, all cabins have stopped operating and all scheduled medical appointments have been canceled.

The president of the Departmental Council declares: “Aware of the impact for the Seine-et-Marnais, in particular those living in rural areas or far from health structures, the Department will make every effort to find alternative solutions as quickly as possible, in conjunction with the competent authorities and health professionals. Indeed, in a context where the territory is facing significant medical desertification, the Department’s teams, fully mobilized, are actively working to find a solution to guarantee the continuation of the activity and are taking all necessary measures to find long-lasting solutions that will allow fellow citizens to continue to benefit from local medical consultations. »

The Department finds itself confronted with the unforeseen situation and deeply deplores the shutdown, which occurs “independently of its will”. The situation directly disrupts access to local care that the Department is keen to promote.
