« I came to Burkina Faso, carrying a message from President Diomaye FAYE for whom I am the special envoy. (…) This message concerns the expression of solidarity of President Diomaye FAYE, his government and the Senegalese people towards the people of Burkina Faso in the current circumstances marked by terrorist attacks », indicated Abdoulaye BATHILY as he left the hearing.

Abdoulaye BATHILY expressed his country’s concerns about the security situation facing the Sahel and all of West Africa. “The people of our region have long aspired to unity, development, progress and security. When we see the spectacle today of what is happening in this region, we are deeply distressed,” he maintained.

President FAYE’s special envoy is convinced that this difficult page can only be turned through a synergy of actions between peoples, unity and solidarity within countries and between them. “ There is no other future for us than this march towards progress, this desire for the emancipation of African peoples », affirmed Mr. BATHILY.

« We must be able to explore all the possibilities that can move us forward on the path to our strategic objectives, that is to say economic emancipation, political emancipation, leading to the progress of our peoples. », added Abdoulaye BATHILY.
