Pape Thiaw: “What am I proposing? I prefer to wait until tomorrow, you will see it on the ground”

At a pre-match press conference this Thursday, Pape Thiaw did not want to promise the Senegalese radical changes. Failing that, the interim technician invited observers to scrutinize his contribution tomorrow, the day of truth.

One of the great challenges for the technical staff of the Lair is to remobilize the troops for the objectives to be achieved. But for this, Pape Thiaw promises that the players are ready and determined to fight to qualify for the next CAN. “We are a few hours before the match against Malawi, I think what remains is to put the software in the right place. We have prepared well since Monday, we have also seen the intensity that has been in training, notably with very determined players”replied Pape Thiaw at a press conference before Senegal/Malawi.

While the 3-5-2 is one of the reasons which precipitated the departure of Cissé, Pape Thiaw prefers to remain evasive when questioned on the subject. At a press conference, the Senegalese technician did not want to give his tactical approach for tomorrow’s match. “It’s true we worked a lot to be able to win tomorrow’s match and let’s hope that it happens. But after what I’m proposing, I prefer to wait until tomorrow. You will see it on the ground. This is not something that I am going to reveal in front of you on the eve of the match”defended the interim replacement for Aliou Cissé.
