The climate weekend returns to the Pays du Pont du

Commit to the environment “was one of our first wishes and one of our priorities from the start of our mandate”declares Didier Gilles, vice-president within the Community of Communes of Pont du , delegate for the environment, waste management and recovery.

Climate issues: raising awareness and supporting

The intercommunality is engaged in the territorial climate-air-energy plan. “Through participatory workshops with associations and companies, 72 action sheets were produced. And 40 were started”is proud to remember the chosen one.

This commitment is also reflected in the organization of climate weekends “to raise awareness among residents about climate issues, but also to help them take action, to support them and our local stakeholders such as producers”explains Didier Gilles, master florist by trade.

A lively climate weekend

From October 11 to 13, the intercommunality therefore reaffirms its commitment with a program aimed at young and old alike.

“The goal of this weekend is to show our residents that it is possible to eat at a lower cost, with seasonal products, all directly from local producers. Being in a rural environment is also a advantage”he concludes.
