Would you like to have a small festival dedicated to gastronomy for the road?! Already well stocked in terms of events dedicated to gastronomy, the metropolis of is preparing to host a brand new culinary highlight which will combine delicacies and reflection around healthy and sustainable eating: the MIAM Festival. A great first which will extend from October 12 to 27 and will offer more than 180 events spread across the four corners of Greater Lyon.

The ambition of the MIAM Festival: to raise awareness among the population of the Metropolis about essential issues linked to nutrition, health and sustainability. In addition to being a new gathering dedicated to food, this event is also an invitation to rethink our way of consuming. And to do this, the program promises to be rich between exhibitions, farm visits, cooking workshops, markets and conferences.

Around a hundred events in the four corners of the Lyon metropolis

From Saint-Fons to , via Caluire, Écully and, of course, Lyon, the nerve center of the festivities, the MIAM Festival offers around a hundred events and activities throughout the metropolis to discover the best of local products and practices. environmentally friendly agriculture. Always in the final idea ofawaken our senses and reconnect us to the riches of our land while emphasizing the food transition. A totally new hyperactive festival!

And because eating better is also a pleasure, expect highlights, like the event Bouillon de CultureS on October 19, which will offer a market of local producers and artisans, round tables and a large participatory buffet. On October 24, it will be the turn of the Best Worker in Sonia Bichet to share her secrets during an exceptional workshop at the Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie.

A MIAM stand from the Métropole de Lyon will also be present at the Lyon Braderie Festival Place de la République from October 11 to 13. A stand hosted by the Ripaï association which will offer a varied program for 3 days. Also note the broadcast of the film “The Boxer Theory” in the presence of director Nathanaël Coste at the Hôtel de Métropole on Wednesday October 16 at 6:30 p.m. Realistic and hopeful, this feature film immerses us in an investigation in the Drôme valley to reflect on the adaptation of our agricultural and food practices in our territories with climate change.
