Former candidate for municipal and legislative elections, Nicolas Cadène maintains complex relations with some of the ecologists of Gard. He gives his version of the facts.

The reason for this refusal, according to him? “ The Nîmes co-secretary, Sibylle Jannekeyn, is opposed to it. The latter had already contested, still through the regional route, my candidacy for the Legislative elections in 2022 (candidacy yet requested by the national management of EELV in its diversity, with support in the Gard supported) as in 2024 », he says. Recalling: “ The national instruction was that the outgoing candidates of 2022 must return to the campaign. A unanimous vote of the executive board thus reinvested me. »
For Nicolas Cadène, “ the refusal of my membership is based on the fear of seeing me take their place in the next electoral elections…. However, it seems to me that there are many elections to be won! But with only one goal, which these people seem to have forgotten: to improve people’s lives, not just theirs. Many sincere environmental activists know this and I will share their fight. »
