In Charleroi, MR-Ecolo-Engagés closes the door to the PTB
On criticism (notably from the PS) regarding the number of municipalities where PTB lists will appear (“only” 70 lists out of more than 500 municipalities), Raoul Hedebouw attacks the socialist party: “That’s Paul Magnette with his double-minded criticism. Raoul Hedebouw does not close any doors for coalitions
As for the measures that the far-left party wants to put forward if it comes to power, Raoul Hedebouw cites housing policy – he wants to put an end to the omnipotence of large real estate developers with the 1/3 housing principle public and 1/3 accessible housing – and the question of municipal financing.
On potential coalitions, the president of the PTB does not come forward. “We will have to discuss. But above all, the PTB is essential. If the PTB is not, the traditional parties will not listen to us.” Finally, regarding Team Fouad Ahidar in Brussels, Raoul Hedebouw declares that the PTB has many points of difference with him: “He has already been in Parliament for 20 years. He voted for the low emission zone, for GoodMove, he is against a millionaires tax, he does not want to reduce the salaries of politicians…” However, the president of the PTB does not want to close any door (even with the MR “even if it will be complicated”says Hedebouw) and will do the analysis on Sunday after the vote.
