The 20th anniversary tour of James Blunt’s Back to Bedlam album will stop at Place Bell in Laval on June 13, 2025 and at the Agora du Port de Québec on June 14, 2025.
James Blunt announced the North American leg of his tour Back To Bedlam – 20th anniversarywhich will celebrate one of the top 10 best-selling albums of the 2000s. The 14-concert series will include stops at New York’s Central Park Summerstage on June 17 and Los Angeles’ Greek on June 27 (full itinerary below).
Blunt will also celebrate Back To Bedlam with a remastered version of the album which will be launched on October 11, twenty years to the day after the original release. This special 20th anniversary reissue includes a version of the original album remastered in 2024 by Stuart Hawkes at Metropolis, in addition to never before shared demos of songs from the album and previously unreleased material from the era of Bedlam.
True to form, James Blunt explains: “I’ve released seven studio albums, but Back To Bedlam is the one that people really bought. So for the 20th anniversary, the record company and I thought we should market a new version and add demos to enjoy it. It was one of the best-selling albums of the 2000s, so let’s hope it has an impact in the 2020s too.”
Back To Bedlam, which includes the worldwide hit “You’re Beautiful”, is one of the 10 best-selling albums of the 2000s. The record won two Brit Awards and two Ivor Novello Awards, in addition to garnering five award nominations. Grammy. As James humbly approaches national treasure status in the UK, he is admired for his honesty, intelligence and charm, which are showcased on record, on stage and on social media.
Last year, James released his seventh studio album, Who We Used To Bewhere we find the heartbreaking extract The Girl That Never Was and the remarkable song Dark Thought. Who We Used To Be is his first studio album since the acclaimed Once Upon A Mind in 2019, which included the memorable extract Monstersa song for his father. His recent compilation The Stars Beneath My Feet (2021) included the hits 1973, Bonfire Heart et Stay The Nightamong others.
