At the earliest in 2027, but more likely the following year if additional studies are necessary: Maen Roch (Ille-et-Vilaine) will have its northeast roadblock within three or four years. A departmental road which will connect the sectorArmor Proteins to that ofAbera (two companies) avoiding rue de Normandie and its intersection with rue de Fougères and the entrance to Jeanne-d’Arc college. Two variants are under study.

It is a project that meets the needs for fluidity and security, there is a real need to regulate flows, and in particular truck transits.

A transit set to grow.

Security, mobility, development

The department relied on three priorities to include this bar in its road plan: securitysupporting communities in the development of soft mobility in town centers, while supporting business development (Armor proteins and Abéra have projects on their respective sites).

The sub-prefect Gilles Traimond recalls for its part that the State ensures compliance with the “triptych Avoid, Reduce, Compensate. Avoid or reduce land use, then compensate for land use.”

Also under the control of the Regional Environmental Authority Mission (MRAe).

The department will have to justify one route rather than another, otherwise there will be no positive opinion from the MRAe.

117 contributions in the workshops

The traceexactly. The department emphasizes that its project “avoids wetlands, reduces the environmental impact and preserves the development possibilities of the municipality”, particularly for housing.

Three variants had been drawn for the bar. Two are still under study, the third being located further east and risking penalizing Abéra.

These variants were studied in June during workshops bringing together farmers, businesses, traders, but also residents de Maen Roch.

In total, 117 contributions were noted (42 participants).

Among the elements which will be the subject of additional studies, or the questions which will be explored by the six study firms mandated by the department: a reflection on the sense of priority at access to the bar, a roundabout to the right of Armor proteins, the necessity or not of a “four seasons study” on environmental impacts, the organization of a final public meeting (a public inquiry being “probable” for such a project), the idea of connecting this bar to the street of remembrance (which runs along the cemetery and behind the Hamlets), etc.

On the other hand, the idea of creating crossroads at traffic lights is abandoned.

The calendar

The steering committee of the project will meet in November.

The review of studies will be ready in March 2025, with two possibilities.

Either a start of works in 2026 and commissioning in 2027. Or the launch of a more complete impact study (from 2025 until 2026), start of work in 2027 and commissioning in 2028.
