Direction Rome: the fan guide for Red Devils supporters before Italy-Belgium – All football

There will be enough Red Devils supporters this week for the clash against Italy. A highly anticipated match for which Walfoot presents the program!

This Wednesday, the Red Devils will try to reconcile with their public: heading to the iconic Stadio Olimpico in Rome for a top match against Italy. A match which obviously always has a special flavor for the large Italian community in Belgium, and during which the Devils will be keen to make up for it after a failed trip to .

The Stadio Olimpico, of course, is a legendary stadium, which hosts the matches of both AS Roma and Lazio but also those of the National. A stadium located a little on the outskirts of the city: from Termini central station, it takes you 45 minutes by public transport to get there.

The day before the match, however, there is no need to go to the surroundings of the stadium: Red Devils supporters meet at the Shamrock PubVia del Colosseo 1C. The Colosseo, you guessed it: it is the Colosseum. You can therefore easily visit this legendary monument of the Eternal City, located just a stone’s throw away, as well as the Forum or the Cirque Maxime, before going to the meeting point from 5 p.m.

The fanwalk of Devils supporters

At the Shamrock Pub you can meet the members of the official supporters organization 1895, who give their all during every international break to provide the best experience for Red Devils fans. Your ticket for the match, but also your scarves and souvenirs of the match can be obtained on site.

During your stay in Rome, which promises to be sunny (you’re lucky: this Tuesday, it was pouring with rain!), we can only advise you to visit the incredible Saint Peter’s Basilica, the very relaxed and festive district of Trastevere or the very peaceful and historic Via Appia, a little outside the city center.

On the day of the match, on the other hand, meet around the Stadio Olimpico: supporters of the Red Devils and 1895 will meet at Piazzale di Ponte Milvio, near the park which borders the stadium and near the historic Milvio Bridge. A quiet and pleasant area, but which will resonate with the songs of Belgian supporters for the fanwalk scheduled for 7:15 p.m. and which should last 30 minutes to the stadium. Come on Belgium !
