Cévennes: the Alès roach gets angry then calms down

At the start of the morning, while the precipitation was heavy in the Galeizon valley and in the Mialet roach, the situation, around 10 a.m., tended to stabilize. The end of the rain-flood alert is scheduled at noon by Météo services.

It was around 6 a.m. that the city’s watercourse suddenly began to rise. Ending up invading the city’s underground car park and the Alès beach site. Around 10 a.m., the Gardon’s anger seemed to have calmed down.

Several submersible bridges are closed to traffic after these intense rains: RD906 temporary bridge of Chamborigaud, RD284a bridge of Massiès in Thoiras, RD284 eastern access bridge in Corbès, RD129a submersible bridge of Anduze, RD386 bridge of Drouilhedres in Bessèges and RD187C in Rochegude. A landslide was noted on the D983.
