However, the Algerian spread with the taste of Kinder Bueno has met with great success on social networks, to the point that sites have developed false online sales of the product.

The Norman version of the product, created by Léa Chauveau and Alexandre Cousin in Gournay-en-Bray (Seine-Maritime), is itself today a victim of its success, report our colleagues from France 3: marketed in supermarkets for several weeks, 150 pots can be sold in one morning. Chocolate makers are even looking to hire new people to ensure their production.

A recipe based on hazelnuts

Behind the success of the Norman spread, a very simple recipe: roasted hazelnuts from Italy, sugar and palm oil. If this last ingredient is particularly controversial for its environmental impact, the creators of Crema Bueno ensure that their production remains eco-responsible.

“To have this smoothness, this creaminess of a spread, we have to have a solid fat. It will be either cocoa butter or palm oil. Ours respects the environment, in correlation with our values. It does not cause deforestation,” assures Alexandre Cousin to France 3.

Crema Bueno is not only a taste victory for consumers but also an economic one, since the pot is sold for less than three euros. “We never thought it would be such a success,” emphasizes its creator.

“All the brands are contacting us. We started with the supermarkets around us, then in . But we have already shipped pallets to . Soon in the region. It’s so crazy, that the hypermarkets, which tend to to be paid in 30 or 60 days, offer to settle the invoice even before delivery,” Alexandre Cousin tells Le Parisien.

According to the latter, at least 150,000 pots of Crema Bueno have already been ordered. Currently, it is no longer possible to order this spread on the Léa and Alexandre website, which indicates that Crema Bueno is “a victim of its own success”.
