On the occasion of the 10th Congress of Administrative and Financial Directors (DAF) of La Réunion, organized by HDM Réunion Mayotte, the creation of the Association of DAF of La Réunion by HDM was officially announced. This new space for professional exchanges aims to strengthen collaboration between CFOs throughout the year on key subjects such as legislative developments, cybersecurity and economic challenges. HDM calls on the island’s DAFs to actively engage in this new structure, whose Constitutive General Assembly will be held soon.
The 10th Congress of Administrative and Financial Directors (DAF), organized by HDM Réunion Mayotte, a Réunion accounting and auditing firm, marked a historic turning point with the official creation of the Association of DAFs of La Réunion by HDM.
Since its first edition, 10 years ago, the CFO Congress has become an unmissable event for finance professionals in Reunion. This year, HDM took a new step by laying the foundations of an ambitious project: offering the island’s CFOs a permanent and structured space for exchanges.
“It is to respond to the need to come together to share our successes and our challenges that we created the DAF congress” declared Alice Pagneux, chartered accountant and partner. “Today, we want to go further by promoting a privileged space for exchanges that will live beyond the Congress, in order to allow CFOs to collaborate on current issues throughout the year. »
The Association of DAFs of Reunion Island by HDM embodies this ambition. It aims to be a place for exchanges, sharing experiences and pooling knowledge on various subjects, such as legislative developments, challenges linked to IT security, or adaptation to a constantly changing economic environment.
This project also responds to a growing need of Reunion companies, faced with increasingly complex issues.
This year, in addition to the 10th anniversary of the Congress, the absence of the traditional Finance Law, usually presented during this meeting, was one of the subjects of humorous discussions: “At least we already have a government,” we joked in the assembly.
However, two particularly important themes emerged: cybersecurity, with several conferences dedicated to the growing vulnerability of local businesses and the importance of putting in place robust IT security systems, linked to appropriate insurance contracts; and CSR with all the sustainability issues linked to the current context.
HDM invites all CFOs on the island to imagine the role they could play within this new structure. The Constitutive General Assembly will take place in the coming weeks and the association is actively seeking to involve as many professionals as possible in this adventure.
“We need everyone’s commitment to bring it to life”, continue the professional.
Registrations are therefore open, and HDM calls on all interested CFOs to join this initiative to lay its solid foundations.
