Leader Tô Lâm meets Vietnamese in

On the occasion of his participation in the 19the Francophonie Summit and his official visit to France, on the evening of October 5 (local time), the Secretary General of the Communist Party of Vietnam (PCV) and Vietnamese President, Tô Lâm, met around a hundred Vietnamese from France at the Cultural Center of Vietnam, in .

According to the Vietnamese ambassador to France, Dinh Toàn Thang, the Vietnamese community in France numbers more than 300,000 people, including around 50,000 intellectuals and thousands of businessmen.

During the meeting, Leader Tô Lâm informed the Vietnamese in France of Vietnam’s latest achievements and its efforts to successfully achieve the objectives of the XIe National Congress of the PCV.

In this process, cooperation, contribution, joint efforts and consensus of the community of 6 million overseas Vietnamese are necessary, he said.

He stressed that the Party and the State highly appreciate the contributions of generations of French Vietnamese to Vietnam, hoping that French Vietnamese in particular, and European Vietnamese in general, will always promote solidarity and contribute to the development of country.

The leader responded to several proposals from Vietnamese in France, asking the competent bodies to conduct studies and put forward appropriate solutions to meet the legitimate aspirations of Vietnamese in France in particular and the Vietnamese community abroad in general.
