SENEGAL-EDUCATION-EQUIPEMENTS / Dakar Dem Dikk offers a computer room to Yoff high school – Senegalese press agency

Dakar, Oct 5 (APS) – The national public transport company Dakar Dem dikk (DDD) offered a fully equipped computer room to Yoff high school on Saturday, APS noted.

The keys to this computer room were handed over by the general director of DDD, Assane Mbengue, on the sidelines of the national cleaning day dedicated to educational establishments.

”It’s not just a computer room. It’s a multimedia room, a connected room,” he explained during this ceremony, in the presence of the Minister of Communication, Telecommunications and Digital Affairs, Alioune Sall.

“The new authorities attach particular importance to digital technology,” he said, inviting children, “using this tool, to equip their brains with knowledge that will allow them to serve their community tomorrow.”

Speaking following the general director, Alioune Sall congratulated the Minister of National Education for the rehabilitation of the high school, before magnifying the provision, by the DDD company, of this latest generation computer room, entirely equipped.”

“I am happy to come here because we have the ambition to introduce our children to digital careers in all schools in Senegal,” emphasized the minister.

According to him, “digital technology will be a strong lever for the economic and social development of our dear country, in accordance with the guidelines of the Head of State”, who, according to him, “grants capital importance to the professions of digital.”
