The events occurred at the end of the day on Friday, on the Beaugrenelle slab, in the 15th arrondissement of . During the confrontation, a teenager was injured and taken to hospital in relative emergency. Three other people, also injured, were arrested.

A brawl broke out this Friday, October 4, around 6:30 p.m., on the Beaugrenelle slab in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. Nearly fifty young people from rival gangs clashed with numerous bladed weapons, BFMTV learned from a police source, confirming information from Le Parisien.

Dispatched to the scene, the police immediately took care of a teenager on the ground, injured in the shoulder and head by blows from a hockey stick. He was transported by firefighters to Necker hospital, in a state of relative emergency, adds this same source to BFMTV.

The 14-year-old victim

A team from the 15th arrondissement anti-crime squad spotted two individuals exhibiting suspicious behavior. The latter joined a group of around fifteen individuals who attacked a victim, according to the Paris prosecutor’s office.

The victim, aged 14, was transported by firefighters to Necker hospital, in a state of relative emergency. Three other people, one aged 14 and two aged 19, were also injured and hospitalized but placed in police custody, specifies Philippe Goujon, the mayor of the 15th arrondissement to BFMTV.

The confrontation took place precisely at 52 rue Emeriau in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, where Yuriy, a teenager, was beaten in January 2021 in a brawl between rival gangs.

Knife, crutch, hockey stick…

The police managed to get their hands on various objects that were used as weapons during the confrontation, in the Pablo Casals square, located opposite the scene. They found a knife, a crutch, a wooden stick, a gas bottle and a hockey stick, according to the same police source. A katana was also discovered at the scene of the confrontation, the prosecution said.

“An anti-brawl plan has already been in place since the Yuriy affair, but it could have happened because the rival gangs have since rebuilt themselves and become better organized by meeting up,” explained the mayor of the borough.

Additional police patrols will be deployed from today, according to him. An investigation into attempted homicide has been entrusted to Paris territorial security.
