Pierre Poilievre: Canada’s saving angel

In view of the federal elections this fall, television is flooding us with advertisements from the conservative camp.

Including one in particular, which seems to target more the Quebec electorate.

A Pierre Poilievre 2.0

More human, the antithesis of this image of the conservative redneck, vindictive, with a right-wing speech often compared to Trump.

Who is Pierre Poilievre?

“Who is Pierre Poilievre?” we hear in this advertisement, where his Quebecois wife Anaida, in voiceover, describes him as a modern-day hero.

Who then is he?

Not just the holder of “common sense” who will lead his party to victory.

We must know that the Conservative leader is, above all, a good guy.

The little guy adopted by a good father, who raised him so well.

The friendly little peddler who passed the newspaper around in his neighborhood.

The sugar daddy who cherishes his two young children.

The man who loves his wife…

Soft and smooth images, giving us the impression of leafing through a family album.

Anaida Poilievre Galindo

The choice of Ms. Poilievre as narrator is not insignificant.

A native of Venezuela, attached to Quebec, her host country, articulate, with excellent knowledge of Canadian politics, she has everything to persuade.

Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Grégoire having announced their separation, the conservatives are betting heavily on this united couple and their little family.

We don’t give up on common sense

According to the Conservatives, we live in a Canada in distress, led by completely crazy politicians.

It sounds like we are hearing from American Trumpists that the United States is on the brink of the abyss.

The conservatives are wriggling

The polls favor them, the party coffers are full. Victory is within their reach.

Only Quebec remains to really conquer and they are pulling out all the stops.

The question?

Do we really want to go to the polls before the holidays?
