Vignes Réboussières to bring the region to life

This is a ride not to be missed. A day around wine and the spirit…

He who is not reboussé is not Gardois! Rebuffed? For those who are not local this means, roughly speaking, that here we are often roumégaïres. Sorry, here, we complain, we complain, we are against almost everything but we still know how to live fully!

Festive and offbeat winegrower’s walk, “Vignes Réboussières” on Sunday October 27 at the Domaine des Luces in Saint-Césaire-de-Gauzignan. The time change… It’s always a risk!

For Éléonore Anger: “ It’s a walk that works, we have 600 possible entries and half are already reserved. The 4km course hosts 42 IGP wines from 14 winegrowers, local producers, music and works of art. The theme? Water, paint, earth… You will be able to bring back a restored memory, the opportunity to spend a wonderful, friendly day with family or friends! »

IGP Cévennes screen-printed glass, tasting notebook and pencil for taking notes. Tastings of local Cevennes wines and products take place along the route. There will also be artistic exhibitions of comics, live painting, music, a catering area and even a donkey ride, wooden games for young and old.

Here, the seventh Vignes Réboussières… We are in the ninth edition in 2024 (Photo Archives Anthony Maurin).

The Cévennes vineyard is located in the south of in the Languedoc region. Its name comes from the Cévennes massif, which is the last foothill of the Massif Central. The limestone soils on which the vines are mainly cultivated are part of a hilly landscape shaped by rivers with feared floods, where orchards, olive trees and cereals coexist.

Red wines are known for their elegance, their aromatic power and their variable tannin structure depending on the winemaking techniques used.

Sunny summer days followed by cool nights favor the finesse of the white and rosé wines, which are also supported by a lovely fruitiness on the palate. Winegrowers have diversified their production for around forty years, in particular by introducing earlier grape varieties, particularly well adapted to the climate of the Cévennes foothills.

The artistic dimension will be given by several arts and artists. Vincent Trinché, the “Earth Masseur”. Touching, sculpting, sublimating the earth to give it life, this is the essence of his artistic approach. Improbable shapes, multiple faces, enigmatic busts are the result of his creativity. Raw, patinated or enameled, his sculptures are sensual, innovative and surprising.

Mustapha Taaba will be another artist present at Vignes Réboussières. Like the Sahara, it carries within itself a part of mystery and magic that we happily find in its works. Rich in color and relief, Mustapha’s work is an ode to his native land and grabs the viewer and never lets go. The entrance to his paintings are the eyes of the characters to whom he brings life, inviting everyone into a dreamlike dive.

Between Buddies is composed of three musicians. This group comes together around a repertoire of swinging and joyful jazzy songs. Needless to say, the animation will be good! Especially when we add the presence of ultra local musicians with the group On the Squarefrom St-Césaire-de-Gauzignan who will stroll along the route to liven up the festivities.

As last year it worked quite well, drinking calls for eating. Using food trucks allows participants to have everything on site and to choose what they want to eat according to their desires (and their budget). Five food trucks will offer savory and sweet dishes.
