Son extension XXL de 33 000 m2 delivered in March 2022 with a lot of new brands will not have been lucky. In a gloomy economic context for shopping centers which are struggling to retain a clientele sensitive to the siren song of online commerce, the 3-Fontaines have a flattering record.

Diversified offer

In 2024, attendance at the - shopping arcade (Val-d’Oise) jumped by 6% to reach more than 12 million visitors per year. Far from the 20 million recorded in 2007, but the trend is there, clear: despite an iron curtain drawn over a certain number of shops, the 3-Fontaines shopping center is returning to an attractiveness hit until now by relentless erosion. A rebound confirmed by the 5.4% increase in turnover at the shopping center owned by Hammerson.

“The increase in attendance and turnover is the result of a strategy of diversification of services and brand offerings”, judges the British group which has injected 350 million euros into the extension of the gallery merchant born in 1972. A massive investment driven by a clear objective: to make it more glamorous and more attractive.

New brands

To confirm this clear recovery in form, around ten new brands will open in the coming months. By the end of the year, the catering offer will be enriched with three new addresses: a family brasserie Brendy’s, a Korean street food concept Chikin Bang and a creperie, Au P’tit Crêpe.

In the leisure sector, King Cadeau will be set up before the end of the year while a vast entertainment center, Smile World, will take over the 3-Fontaines in 2025. This new 3,000 m² complex will offer visitors “a avant-garde environment” with a wide range of activities: bowling, laser game, action game. Karaoke box, quiz room are also included in the specifications, as are a bar and a pizzeria. On the well-being side, the Yogi Spa brand is announced.

Finally, the arrival of the Dutch store chain Hema, specializing in low-cost home goods, and the extension of the Normal store “will also diversify and strengthen the center’s offering”.
