From Quebec to Compostela is a provincial association whose objective is to promote the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. Several paths have led countless numbers of pilgrims there from the beginnings of the Middle Ages until today. This non-denominational association is divided into several regional branches including that of Lanaudière which brings together around thirty pilgrims each year.

The objective is to inform the population about what this pilgrimage is and help those who are interested in living this experience by preparing them through conferences and a practical workshop. The association also provides them with a “credencial”, a sort of passport giving access to the numerous lodges which dot the various paths which lead there, whether in , Spain or Portugal. The next activity will be the reception of pilgrims returning from this journey. As it is a very intense adventure, many feel the need to share their emotions and evoke their memories with other people who have had the same experience. This is also an excellent time for those who are wondering if they want to leave to come and find out directly from those who have recently returned. This evening will be held on October 16, at 7 p.m., at the Center Alain Pagé located at 10, Pierre-De Coubertin, in Saint-Charles-Borromée.

The meeting is open to everyone free of charge. You can register on the duquebecacompostelle.org website.
