The Nemoscan Medical Imaging Center and the new private hospital of the Franciscaines of the Elsan establishments have opened the first very high field magnetic resonance imaging in the liberal sector of .

Supplementing the existing care offering with high-performance equipment and reducing waiting times for patients: these are the objectives of the Nemoscan medical imaging center and theFranciscans settled with the acquisition of a 3 Tesla MRI. This magnetic resonance imaging is located in the medical imaging department of the Nîmes private hospital and will allow more precise examinations to be carried out.

This 3 Tesla MRI is part of the medical project in the Nîmes region of Elsan and provides a treatment offer in Nîmes and its basin since it complements the equipment installed in the group’s three other imaging centers.

This MRI, the first very high field installed in the private sector, makes it possible to carry out examinations with superior quality, today essential for the exploration of certain pathologies. It will also reduce examination times and support the Franciscaines imaging service, an establishment specialized in cardiology and vascular; from the Polyclinique grand sud, specializing in osteoarticular, digestive and urology; of the Valdegour clinic as well as that of the Gard Cancer Institute.

This MRI is equipped with artificial intelligence. “These high-performance machines are managed by an experienced team of 26 manipulators and 30 radiologists. We are delighted to be able to offer the inhabitants of the Nîmes area a high-quality center which complements the already existing care offer. Since opening, we have already treated 1,500 patients. This 3 Tesla MRI is becoming essential in neurology for example, and remains an excellent tool for pelvic, osteoarticular explorations, etc. »explains Sébastien Saint-Germain, operational director of Nemoscan which is made up of four medical imaging centers bringing together six MRIs and five scanners, carrying out 95,000 examinations each year.
