Senegal: Momar Diongue and Mamadou Oumar Ndiaye DGs of the APS and the CNRA | APAnews

Momar Diongue and Mamadou Oumar Ndiaye respectively replace Amadou Tidiane Sy and Babacar Diagne at the head of the Senegalese Press Agency (APS) and the National Audiovisual Regulatory Council (CNRA).

The Senegalese Press Agency (APS) and the National Audiovisual Regulatory Council (CNRA) both have new leaders, following the appointments made at the Council of Ministers on Wednesday October 2 by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye.

Journalist Momar Diongue was appointed director of the APS, succeeding Amadou Tidiane Sy. Holder of a master’s degree in Modern Literature, Diongue worked at Nouvel Horizon magazine and more recently at 2STV, while being recognized as an experienced political analyst.

Furthermore, the journalist Mamadou Oumar Ndiaye, better known by the nickname MON, was appointed new president of the CNRA, replacing Babacar Diagne, whose mandate has come to an end. Former director of Radiodiffusion Télévision Sénégalaise (RTS), Diagne gives way to Ndiaye, who was until his appointment publishing director of the daily Le Témoin.
