Laurent Burgoa appointed rapporteur of the Social Affairs Committee

Senator LR Laurent Burgoa has just been appointed rapporteur of the Senate Social Affairs Committee for the next Finance Bill of 2025 (PLF).

It will endeavor to report on the solidarity, integration and equal opportunities section. A heavy file with multiple issues. In , the parliamentary rapporteur is a deputy or senator designated within a study commission to analyze a bill or proposal. He presents his point of view, his observations and his amendments in a public session.

Poverty, social assistance, inequalities…

The senator will thus have the mission of reporting on the part of the PLF relating to public policies intended to fight poverty, reduce inequalities and protect vulnerable people. This includes in particular the RSA social assistance budget, activity bonus and allowance for disabled adults. As a reminder, four years ago, Laurent Burgoa was appointed member of the High Council for Family, Childhood and Age by the then President of the Senate Gérard Larcher.
