A look back at the main surprises based on the official results published on our site (click on this link).
There will be a team of 3e District division and one of 2e division au 5e round of the Coupe de France! The feat came from the little thumb of this 4e tower, JA Saint-Philbert Reorthe (3D85 – club photo below in the 3rd round)scorer at home and without trembling (3-0) of the Jeunes d’Erbray. In Maine et Loire, FC Gief-Gesté (D2 – photo above – see the article on passionsports49.fr) also continued in style (3-1) against US Saint-Berthevin (R3). Congratulations to them who will receive a 2e jersey game Wednesday evening (an “away” game regardless of the draw).
One of the little thumbs, the JGE Sucé sur Erdre (club photo below)created one of the very good performances by qualifying on the field of an “R3”, FC Grand-Lieu, just like Bournezeau Saint-Hilaire against (club photo below) in Saint-Marc sur Mer. At the end of a long trip, US Saint-Pierre la Cour Port Brillet (D1 – photo of the club below) qualified on the pitch of Jard Avrillé (R3). The District teams definitely put on a show, and in one of their duels, it was FC Fuilet-Chaussaire (club photo below) who qualified against FC Abbaretz-Saffré at the end of the suspense (3-3; 3-2 tab)!
At League level, the biggest surprise came from Sainte-Cécile/Saint-Martin (R3 – club photo below) qualified (2-0) against Orvault Sports (R1 Intersport). On Saturday, Saint-André Football (R3) set the tone by qualifying on the pitch at Ernée (R2). The next day, ASI Mûrs-Erigné recalled good memories of the R1 Intersport by eliminating JSC Bellevue on its home field. Likewise, ES Segré dominated FC Saint-Sébastien in Anjou. To a lesser extent, ES Moncé en Belin (R3) surprised Montaigu (R2) who had won Challans in the previous round. Still in Sarthe, Beaumont SA (R3) brought down AS Saint-Pierre Montrevault (R2). At the end of one of the Vendée derbies of this 4e turn, FC Essartais (R3) surprised Mouilleron le Captif (R2) on his field on penalties.
And congratulations again for their progress to the eliminated district teams FC Talmondais, SGTFC Saint-Georges Trémentines, Etoile de Clisson, FC Layon Thouarcé, AC Longué, Le Pellerin-Basse-Loire, Noyen sur Sarthe, ES Morannes, FC Laurentais Landemont, Angers Lac de Maine, Saint-Florent FC Blé, FC Abbaretz-Saffré, FC Mouchamps-Rochetrejoux (eliminated only on penalties by Mareuil), just like ASR Machecoul against SO Cholet.
