Agent of the Department placed under the functional authority of the head of establishment or by delegation of his assistant manager, the agent works within the establishment. He/She is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the premises, surfaces, furniture and equipment used by the college in compliance with safety and hygiene rules and instructions. He/She actively participates in activities related to catering.

Main missions

On a daily basis, here are the missions on which you will work within the college:

You assist the chef and/or kitchen assistant with pre-treatment, unpacking and cold preparation operations (starters and desserts).

You carry out the placement on the carts, the storage of goods and the distribution of foodstuffs.

You apply current Good Hygiene Practices and contribute to the fight against waste.

You participate in the service, cleaning the self-service restaurant, and the diving (small and large diving).

You contribute to the routine maintenance of administrative, technical or specialized premises (floors, glass surfaces, furniture, sanitary facilities, catering equipment) according to the schedule established by the assistant manager.

You empty the trash cans and dispose of common waste.

You use machines (self-washing machine, single brush, etc.) and the appropriate maintenance products according to the instructions for use and technical/safety sheets.

You adopt the cleaning methods in force in the establishment.

You store and maintain the equipment after use.

You carry out textile maintenance (sorting, washing, ironing, storage)

You carry out telephone and physical reception missions for the public

Know-how:

Mastery of mechanized manual cleaning and disinfection procedures and techniques.
Know how to handle electrical appliances and mechanized equipment (mono brush, auto washer, vacuum cleaner, etc.)
Know how to choose and dose products according to the surfaces to be treated
Know how to read instructions and follow product usage instructions
Know and apply the rules of hygiene, safety and equipment maintenance
Master handling gestures and postures related to your missions
Know how to organize your work according to the schedule and oral and written instructions

Soft skills:

Have behavior appropriate to work in a school environment (politeness, appropriate language in the presence of middle school students)
Adaptability to the establishment’s schedules and constraints
Organizational capacity, rigor (e.g. knowing how to check the cleanliness of premises and identify the surfaces to be treated as a priority)
Versatility (ability to carry out all the missions of the position and to vary the tasks)
Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team

Specific constraints of the function:

Presence time slot located between 6 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Schedules subject to change depending on service constraints and needs
Use of electrical, mechanized devices, dangerous and sharp products
Load handling
Exposure to heat, cold, humidity, noise
Fast pace (especially during catering service)

The position is to be filled at the Collège de Champagne in on a fixed-term contract, at 50%.
