A 40-year-old woman was found dead at her home, located in Aubervilliers (Seine-Saint-Denis), Tuesday, October 1 in the evening. The victim showed signs of strangulation and violent blows to the head. An investigation has been opened.
The Bobigny public prosecutor’s office opened an investigation this Wednesday, October 2, following the discovery of the lifeless body of a 40-year-old woman in her apartment located in Aubervilliers, in Seine-Saint-Denis.
According to the prosecution, contacted by AFP, the victim “was found dead at her home (…) after a friend was worried about not having news of her”. According to a police source, the forty-year-old was found naked in her bedroom. When his body was discovered, the victim showed signs of strangulation and violent blows to the head.
Still according to the same source, a neighbor contacted the police on Tuesday afternoon after hearing the cries of a woman being attacked. The police moved to the scene before leaving without finding a victim.
No arrests
The public prosecutor also specifies that no arrests have taken place at this stage. The investigation, opened for murder, was entrusted to the criminal brigade of the Paris judicial police.
