El Jadida – Two conventions relating to the development of techniques and technologies applied to agriculture and the promotion of equestrian art were signed on Tuesday on the sidelines of the 15th edition of the El Jadida Horse Show.

The first agreement, which was initialed by the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Mohamed Sadiki, and the General Director of Huawei Morocco, David Li, reflects the common desire to work together to support the digital transition of the agricultural sector as part of the Generation Green strategy.

The objective of this partnership is to introduce connected platforms and deploy agricultural e-services in pilot sites, in addition to strengthening the capacities of farmers and professionals and encouraging youth entrepreneurship.

The Digital Agriculture Pole is the structure mandated by the supervisory ministry to ensure the implementation of this agreement, as part of the Generation Green strategy roadmap.

As for the second framework partnership agreement for the promotion of equestrian art, it was signed between the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Horses (SOREC) and the Foundation of the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art (Spain).

The agreement, which is part of a dynamic of valorization of equestrian art as a key element of Andalusian and Moroccan identity, aims to establish a mutually beneficial collaboration, focused on the promotion and protection of equestrian heritage, as well as that it provides for the creation of bridges between institutions, the organization of training activities and the sharing of expertise in the equestrian field.

Through this collaboration, both parties undertake to strengthen professional and academic ties, while contributing to the cultural and social enrichment of their respective territories.
