Australia is invited to the Pelicot trial, thanks to the gesture of Australian women marked by the courage and the desire of Gisèle to “change the shame of camps”.

JUSTICE – Worldwide impact. As the Mazan rape trial has entered its fifth week, Gisèle Pelicot will soon receive an unexpected surprise. A surprise from Sydney, as reported by Bleu this Monday, September 30.

In a show of solidarity and support towards the victim of this affair, for which around fifty men including Dominique Pelicot, Gisèle’s ex-husband, are being prosecuted before the Vaucluse criminal court, the Australian association for the defense of older women Older Womens Network will send her a gift.

Even from a distance, this association, touched by the fate of the septuagenarian and the impact of the trial, wants to show her its solidarity and admiration. “ When we saw that Gisèle had chosen to renounce her anonymity and expose these absolutely atrocious crimes to light, we said to ourselves, wow, she’s a champion. underlines the president of the association, Yumi Lee.

After a major appeal for donations on social networks and at the local level, Older Womens Network raised the necessary amount to send a “ solidarity pack », containing in particular a silk scarf made by Aboriginal artists. “ We want, by wearing this scarf, that she feels around her neck the love we have for her and the expression of our solidarity”explained the president of the association to France Bleu.

Now we just have to wait for the package to arrive. Indeed, the call for donations has been stopped and it will soon be one of Gisèle Pelicot’s lawyers who will receive the famous package… As the Australians do not have the victim’s address, it is her counsel who will be responsible for deliver it to him in person.
