Following the intervention of the Mediator of the Kingdom in the case of medical students, the ministry led by Miraoui announces a series of measures proposed by the Mediator and accepted by the government.

The press release published late in the evening of September 30 specifies that at the time of its publication the Mediator had not yet reached an agreement with the students.

The supervisory ministry’s approach aims to preserve teaching time and seeks to communicate its proposals to students.

Here are the measures taken:

  • allow students who have taken the first semester exams to take those of the second semester as part of an exceptional session from October 4
  • allow students who will take the exams for the first time to:
    • take the second semester exams during the exceptional session scheduled from October 4
    • take the first semester exams during another exceptional session which will be scheduled later
  • Replace the mark of zero with the marks obtained during the exceptional sessions for the children who will take the exams.
  • The deliberations will be based on the marks obtained during the exams without taking into account the conditions of the internships. These will be scheduled later while respecting the total hourly volume and the required conditions.
  • Start of courses in the medical sector for the 2024-2025 academic year for students at different levels (2nd to 6th year) on Monday October 14, 2024.
  • Present the additional explanations necessary to students regarding the new educational program through the holding of extended committee meetings.
  • Strengthen student reception mechanisms to listen to their grievances and complaints.
