“With us, there is no key box”: the Gîtes de in Hérault in the midst of developing local tourism

Visitors. According to the study carried out by a consulting firm for Gîtes de , the clientele welcomed in Hérault accommodation is 85% French. It comes first from Haute-Garonne, Rhône, , and… Hérault. Among foreigners, the Germans are the most numerous, ahead of the Belgians and the British.

Fallout. The same study indicates that the economic benefits of a gîte are €11,624 per year on average. Tax revenue from this activity represents €9,600 per structure.
