To mark the 25th^e anniversary of his appointment as titular organist of the church of Langon (Gironde), Michel Dieu will give an organ concert on Sunday October 6, 2024 at 5 p.m.‘Saint-Gervais church.

It is therefore up to the keyboards of beauty grand organ from the church of Langon that he will offer a recital composed of works by Bach, Guilmant, Boëllmann et Widor.

A Cavaillé-Coll grand organ

Since his appointment, Michel Dieu worked with the board of directors of the Association for the Restoration of the Organ of Langon (AROL) to restore this beautiful instrument created by the famous organ builder Aristide Cavaillé-Coll.

This work, carried out by organ builder Bernard Cogez, was financed by the Langon town hall (owner of the instrument), the Gironde departmental council and the AROL.

The new organ was inaugurated in 2009 by Philippe Lefebvre, titular organist of Notre-Dame de Paris.

The AROL then transformed into the Association for the Outreach of the Organ of Langon and organizes numerous concerts.

Anniversary recital Sunday October 6 at 5 p.m. in Saint-Gervais church. Free entry, simultaneous projection on large screen.
