Ajaccio – ACA supporters banned from traveling to Matmut Atlantique this Friday

This Friday, Bordeaux (14th) welcomes Ajaccio (11th) for a duel between two teams which are stagnating in the soft underbelly of the League 2 at the end of the season. While the first leg was marked by certain excesses in the stands, the prefect of Gironde decided not to take any risks ahead of the 36th day. A decree prohibiting the travel of Corsican supporters to Matmut Atlantique was published this Thursday, a few hours before the match.

The decree therefore mentions “ litigation linked to events that occurred during the first leg match », evoking the fact that the Ajaccian supporters had “ strongly reacted to the unexpected presence of Bordeaux supporters ”, resulting in “ acts of mutual violence » which led to the interruption of the meeting for 50 minutes. At the time, Girondin supporters had “not not respected the prefectural decree of southern Corsica “.

In addition to this episode of violence, the prefect of Gironde refers to “ current conflict between the two main ultras groups » of the Girondins de Bordeaux, the Ultrasmarines and the North Gate, highlighting several of their recent excesses and the risk that these “ tensions » cause « again disturbances to public order “. The sporting situation of FCGB, considered likely to make “ resurface tensions ”, is also named among the reasons for this ban.
